They contain information such as population density, oil infrastructure,distribution of ethnoreligious groups and major tribes, kurdish areas of northern Iraq and are shown at a 1:2,000,000 scale. The map was created for use by Department of Defense by the United States Central Intelligence Agency Cartography Center
