- Relief shown by hachures and form lines. These maps were drawn from the cartographer's memory documenting details of the Old City and reflecting the political and social system of Tibet at this time; locating monasteries; Gerpa houses; the area of Shhol; places of worship; the four directions and the "Lingkhor" Kora (pilgrim cimcumambulation sacred path enclosing the old Lhasa). Map shows the Kyi Chu River Valley, Yarlung Tsangpo river, monasteries and roads. Includes indexes and legend. Compiled by Chie Nakane, Institute of Oriental Culture, University of Tokyo. Includes three maps and companion text with index.
