- Relief shown by contours, form lines, hachures, and spot heights. Depth shown by soundings in fathoms. Topographic maps showing province or state, district, tribal, township, and forest boundaries; areas of cultivation and vegetation; oil wells batte-fields(with date); places of worship. Based on maps surveyed and published by the Survey of India at the scale of 1:253,440, 1916 -1930. Issued in quadrangles 1° of longitude by 1°of latitude. Each sheet has individual name and number: : "No. 83 N- Kohima." Index to adjacent sheet, administrative divisions, and lenght conversion table. Some sheets are black and white.
