Imprint derived from the earliest atlas in which this state of the map was issued. Differs from earlier state of the map by the addition of cardinal compass points in 1648. Issued in this state in successive editions of the atlas until the plate was destroyed in 1672. Shows hundred boundaries, rivers and settlements ; coats of arms ; sea decorated with ships. Relief shown pictorially.
